This policy explains how M&H Dental Clinic collects, uses and protects personal information.

1. Who we are

2. Information we collect

Booking and contact details: name, phone number, email address and the appointment you request, when you book online or contact us by phone, email or WhatsApp.
Patient records: when you become a patient we create a record with identification, contact, health and treatment information, appointments, payments and, if applicable, insurance details.
Website data: basic technical information such as browser type, device and pages visited. Analytics data is collected only if you accept analytics cookies.

2.1 Why we use it

To schedule appointments, provide dental care and keep accurate clinical records.
To process payments and deal with your insurer when you ask us to.
To contact you about your appointments and care.
To meet legal, tax and professional obligations.
To improve our website and services, where you have agreed to analytics.

3. Who we share it with

We do not sell personal information. We share it only when needed: with your insurer at your request, with technology providers that host or operate our systems (for example website hosting, database and messaging services), with other health professionals involved in your care, and with authorities where the law requires it. These providers may store data on servers outside Jamaica and must protect it appropriately.

4. How long we keep it

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above. Clinical and financial records are kept for the period required by law and professional standards, after which they are deleted or anonymized.

5. Security

We use access controls, individual staff accounts and encrypted connections to protect your information. No system is completely secure, but we work to reduce risk and limit access to people who need it.

6. Your rights

Under the Data Protection Act you may ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, object to certain uses, and withdraw consent you have given. Some clinical records must be kept by law, in which case we will explain what we can and cannot delete. To make a request, email mandhdental@gmail.com. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Information Commissioner of Jamaica.

7. Children

We treat children's information with extra care. Appointments and consent for minors are handled with a parent or legal guardian.

8. Cookies

This site uses necessary cookies and local storage to work and remember your cookie choice. Analytics cookies are optional and are set only if you accept them. You can change your choice any time with Cookie Settings in the footer.

9. Third-party links

Our site links to services such as Google Maps and WhatsApp. They have their own privacy policies and we are not responsible for them.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version.
